Homeschool STEAM Team Classes

Our home school STEAM Team classes are a great addition to your children's educational curriculum with real-life learning experiences. We explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in 9 week sessions. The last class of each session will be an opportunity for the students to show case all that they have learned. Our instruction-based classes will get their gears turning with weekly builds/concepts. Builders will be engaged in a hands-on program that is designed to inspire creative thinking, teamwork, social skills, and problem solving for the 21st century with real kid FUN!

Winter Session: Outer Space Survival Guide

Nov 29, 2017 - Jan 31, 2018 (no class on Dec 27)

What is considered outer space? What are the different planets? How are they different from Earth? Do you know how gravity works? How do tornadoes work? If you have a curious child that is eager to learn about space, this would be the session to attend.

Do you think you could survive in outer space alone? Students will learn how to create circuits to communicate in and out of space, engineer a way to fix the space craft when something is damaged, how to control a Mars Rover, and so much more!

Spring Session: Transportation and other Things that Move!

Feb 7 - Apr 11, 2018 (no class on Apr 4)

There are so many things we can explore with transportation. How does a plane fly? What is a wheel and axle? How do they relate to cars? How does a vehicle accelerate?  Can you 3Doodle your own car? Will you be able to program your Chariot through the maze? Can you design the best attachment for a snow plow? Let's put your transportation knowledge to the test!

STEAM Team Plus (Ages 9+)

Wednesdays 9:30-11:30am    $150

Winter Session: Galactic Adventure
Nov 29, 2017 - Jan 31, 2018 (no class on Dec 27)

Interested in space? This session students will explore the unknowns of outer space! On this Galactic Adventure, students will discover how to program an EV3 to launch rockets or pick up needed materials. They will use an EV3 and code their way through space, from planet to planet. Can you design and create a better method of communicating with your home planet?

Spring Session: Engineering Transportation
Feb 7 - Apr 11, 2018 (no class on Apr 4)

This session explores the engineering behind vehicles. Can you 3D print wheels for a vehicle you have designed? Will your hot air balloon design be sufficient to keep it floating? Can you use a mouse trap to propel your car? The possibilities are endless!
